Where iMessage is a special Apple service that needs only Wi-Fi or data to work, Pushbullet's solution remotely controls your phone to send actual text messages. It's the iMessage dream, but without the pesky iPhone-or convincing all your friends to use Facebook Messenger instead of texting you. Same goes for any combination of devices. Same deal if you use a tablet to send a text and then sit down at the computer.
